A well placed mirror /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif seriously, I think he will go where he wants to. You can try moving him but might not be successful.

    Good one Dave! :0)

I would suggest NOT moving it. How big is it? How long have you had it? Where did you get it from? What lighting do you have? How much flow do you have? Is it a BTA, Condy or other? Last question, when you place it in the tank, where did you put it?...on the sand, a rock in X flow and Hi/med/low flow? I should be able to help if you can answer the questions first :0)

Got it yesterday from new2salt. About half the size of a baseball. I have mini compact 10k and duel 420/460 actinic about 1 week old on the duels. 3 hydro's both ends and back size 2-3. Put it on a rock about 6 inch from bottom of tank. I have a 72 gallon bow front

Is it a BubbleTip Nem? I'm guessing that is was not attached to a rock when you received it? I'm not familiar with the mini compact and the hydro's so I'll just assume the lighting and flow is sufficient. Did it stay put until the lights were out?

At this point, I suggest that if you can move the rock it's on, move it..".it on the rock". Place the rock on the sandbed in lower flow If you do not have sandbed space, place the rock in a lower flow area and where it will get light but NOT INTENSE light. The nem is acclimating to your tank, water params, flow and lighting. Just take your time with placing it where you want it. Hopefully, by placing it in lower light and less flow. it will be happy and stay put. I would also try to feed it :) Keep me posted and I'll help you get it "Happy"! I sure hope the foot is not tore :9(...were you able to inspect it before placing it in the system?

Haitian anemone is what it is. Sorry didn't put that in last message. Hydor Koralia are the pumps. I'll have to move some rocks around to get it to the bottom. The foot looked good when I put it in the tank after about an 1 1/2 hour of acclimating to my water. thought about turning the lights and circ. Pumps off but I didn't. Lessons learned. I'll keep you informed. Also Dave I'd still like those rock's just been real bizy. I'll get with you after the holiday. Thanks for the the help

Thanks...ok, it's a condy. They are notorius for moving. Thanks for clarifying that they are hydors :0) Now I'm following! :0)

Having it visible for the first week is very important since you do not know positively about the foot or any other injury/disease. The less flow, the better and low light like I referred to earlier. I would definitely feed it. Good luck and I'll keep an eye open should you need further help :0)

OK so the Newby got a little ahead of himself. Got home work today and the anemone moved. A little more in the open then it was so I think I'm going to leave it go for a couple days. Thanks again for all the tips and tricks. I'll update in a couple days again.
