I put them in tank now for 2 weeks they keep moving all over the 1 floats all the time around tank and has got caught in my powerhead 2 times now and he has been fine. Am I doing something wrong that they move that much my other does not float or swim around at all. This morning I have bad news to report as the white one again got caught in the poerhead overnight and no way of saving it. I hate to see this I just dont know what to do to prevent this any help?????

They move around till they find a spot that they like. As in right flow and lights. Most don't recommend putting them in your tank for 9-12 months. "The Long Tentacle Anemone requires an aquarium with 4 inches of sand or rubble substrate in which it can hide." That quote was taken off liveaquaria. How much flow do you have and what's your lighting?

  3. I have alot of flow and I have T5 lights I got from another member on here and grew any corals and had some in his tank. I had 2 of them the 1 is the only one that moved alot the 2nd has been pretty stable and when lights come on he get big and beautiful and takes food right from my hand the other was floating alot I just wanted to know if there is something to put over the power head to prevent it or if it was maybe just a fluke

Jim I'm a firm believer of turning powerheads off while the nems find their resting place, then return flow to half of what you have and see how they react, if ok, go to full flow and keep an eye on them.

    Good luck

What kind of Poweheads are you running?

  7. the type of powerhead is a marineland maxijet 900

  8. i mused the needle point messh from walmart to put around my upgraded maxijets with a small zip tie and it works fime . i had the same issue and ended up removing 1 nem because the perfect spot was taken and the other would roll around every other day
