Any meet this month? Fall Fest planning?

    Hey all, just wanted to see if there were plans for a meet in August. I really enjoyed hanging out a few weeks ago.

    Also, someone was asking about Fall Fest on the Fall Fest board. Any movement on that? I'd be happy to help with whatever. One of the many things I do in my jobby job is plan conferences and events. Hosted the Poet Laureate of the United States last spring...

    I haven't heard about a meet this month. I would like to know as well if anything is going on.

    As for helping out with fallfest I would get in direct contact with Bob or Andy about that. I'm sure they would be happy to have some help.

    I always seem to miss meetings that deal with manufacturer versus DIY LED projects. Not saying I want to have another meeting on the subject as I've killed my printer printing stuff and have it in a binder for some light reading. The last meeting I made it to was on Controllers but was mostly Apex. I'd love to own one just I can't afford $500+ for one. I'm looking at a Reef Angel that is almost half the cost. As we get closer to fall I bet we'll start to have some regular meetings as everyone will be heading back indoors for the winter. Eventually I'll be getting a 210 gallon tank so we could have a plumbing party once I get that moved in.

    I think we could have a meeting where we discuss folks maintenance schedules and that would encompass lighting and controllers as well. There are a lot of different ways this stuff can be done and it might be useful to talk about how we do it individually.

    I'd be happy to host something. It seems like fall starts next month and if we're going to be planning for stuff, we should meet sooner rather than later, right?

    If we don't hear anything from the chairs we could always have an impromptu meeting at either one of your places. Shoot the **** and talk about tanks. I have my APEX set up, we could remote into that and see how I run my system and some of the code I have in place if you guys are interested in controllers.

    Well, I just talked with the wife and she says it's ok to get together over here. I could fire up the BBQ and we could chat. Kyle's place would be cool too.

    I'd be really into hearing how other folks set their maintenance schedule. Is there a date that works for folks?

    schedule? I sometimes change some water out. If I'm dosing the tank I try to remember to do my water tests.

    Big tanks run themselves LOL.

    Any date works for me. My only dilemna on any meeting is finding a ride.

    An informal meeting might be necessary this month...we're running out of month. Kyle, if you're willing to host, we could possibly get together next weekend. I would personally have to push into the middle of September if that doesn't work for next weekend.

    I cant make the 25th due to Share Iowa food distro at my church then a wedding then Vinton Boom Fest that night. Looks like we'll have to plan something for Sept or I'll have to skip out again which sucks!

    I could do something Saturday, but I will not know about getting invited to work on the weekend until Thursday for sure. If I do we may have to meet around 4:00pm. Jason said he could have one at his house too if that works better for others. I can do what ever.

    I will post something and see what kind of response I get.
