Curious if anyone has used this salt and if it's any good or not. I put my Fosters and Smith coupon to good use and picked some up tonight. It's suppose to be some good stuff, i guess I shall see

I used the Topic Marin pro reef and it mixed very very nicely so I liked that. One thing I noticed though was a bloom of cyano when using it. I read that others have noticed the same thing hapenning with both it and the bio-actif. It is very nice salt though.

I was just about to switch to it from reef crystals but the more research I did the more it lead me away from it, also twice the cost. I have read many post about cloudy water, bacteria blooms and cyano which would make sense since it is supposed to replace or have the same effect as running bio pellets. These seem to be all early symptoms from bio pellets as well. (I've read anyway) Long term it seems that small very consistent water changes are needed to get the full benefits from it. But why fix something that isn't broke and could potentially add problems, reef crystals works fine for me and has been proven long term the industry. If your a fan on running bio pellets and want to try something different I say give it a shot.

I use it and have had no cyano or other problems. Water looks crystal clear.

Jason I bought a bucket of that AquaVitro and it had my calcium levels up by 10ppm on the first 35gal water change I did.I know you were their the day that seachem rep was their, and he said he uses it right away after mixing it,NO WAY! It gets way to cloudy! I let it set 24hrs, and it was clear as a bell.Time will tell.

Agree with john. I've used the salinity. I found I can use it after about 20 minutes. It is more like a dust so it mixes fast and have always had great results
