I would say the coral looks like a maze brain aka worm brain coral. The growth looks weird..Perhaps it's trying to split or it's in a healing process. Is it possible something else in the tank might have stung it? Perhaps an anemone on the run or another coral that fell on to it?

I dont think any other coral has stung it, its been like this for a few months now, and I dont think it is splitting.. It just looks weird and it bubbles out, just very strange..
    Thanks for your input...
