There is several but brace yourself for some extreme prices. You may be better off getting a sheet of float glass and a glass cutter and doing it yourself. Youtube for instructions on how to use a glass cutter. Otherwise I would order some Weld-On #4 and get some acrylic.

I got 5 pcs. cut for my sump for $25 at Ace Hardware. Lowes and Home Depot should also have it.

You might also consider doing an acrylic external box. I PM'd one guy who posted a few pics of his build (I think post # 691 on the RC thread) and he sent me about 20 pics of the build. My Dad and I work with acrylic and I'm going to build my own. I can send you the pics if you want. Otherwise +1 for Ace Hardware or True Value, but the thickest they can get you is 1/8" I think. For a coast-to-coast at 48" I think they recommend 1/4" glass but I could be wrong.

I called an Auto Glass place once to price out a replacement panel for the end of a 55g, so I know you can get glass from those places.

Also you could just get it custom cut from Glass Cages ($$)

One of the best places to get glass cheap is from people in GIRS or other local clubs that have had tanks bust. Unfortunately, most people don't see the value of a broken aquarium and end up putting it out on the curb instead of saving the glass. Once you get into the 75 gallon+ size, that glass (3/8" and up) costs a lot...especially in big pieces (24"+). Iowa Glass in CR will cut glass cheap (like $1.50 or $2 per cut) if you provide the glass. There is no warranty, so if they break the glass while cutting it, they won't replace it. They charge a bunch to grind the edges. Don't have them do this. Usually, they will end up doing it for free if you tell them not to do it just because it's safer to handle that way, but if you request i done, they charge more for that then they do to cut the glass.

When I busted the end out of a 75 gallon sump that I was making, I priced out glass and it was way more than I was willing to pay. I started searching around for someone with a busted tank that I could buy and found someone in a freshwater club that lived in Ottumwa (where my brother lived at the time) and gave me their broken tank. Well, it was *VERY* broken and out of the entire tank, I only got enough glass to replace that single end pane...but that was all I needed. I ended up getting the glass I needed for under $10 + some work, vs $50+.

Moral of the story: Club members, when you break a tank, instead of throwing it away, post that you have a broken tank and you want it gone. Maybe your broken tank can get you a few bucks or a frag instead of a trip to the dump.

ya bud that'd be great. i was looking on reefcentral just now (for around 2 hrs the past 2 nights it is too full to load) at this thread http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/s...?t=1978645  i dont quite understand how it is done though. the only thing about the coast to coast i dont like is having my return coming up and over into the tank.
i agree with the 1/4 in. glass, i wasnt planning on going any thinner.

That's a cool looking build in that thread. It looks like he just used black glass and siliconed everything, so no bulkheads.

As far as the return over the tank, you can always drill the return, as long as you had a siphon break somewhere or a plenty big sump.
