Has anyone had any experience with these?  I'm exploring all options for lighting a JBJ 28g Nano and this looks cost effective and clean depending on a fixture.  I'm also looking at using a Steve's LEDs retrofit kit, but I am leaning towards something I could use without the hood.  I don't like the way the hood doesn't open very far when the protein skimmer is installed.  It starts to bump against the skimmer collection cup after only opening about a third.
In a perfect world I would get something like an AI Nano, but those are pretty expensive.  I'm not a cheapskate by any means, but damn...

I used 2 of those PAR38s over a JBJ 28g nano and it worked just fine for me. I was only growing softies in the tank but everything was fine. I had to have them raised pretty high over the tank to avoid getting the spot light effect though. Go for wide optics if you have the option.. I can't remember what degree I had.
