Apex app lost connectivity

I lost connectivity to my apex (ipad) app today, its now prompting for a username and password. In the past, this has never come up.  I have a un/pw written down (its the one on the apex display) but that doesnt work. How can i find or override this thing?
Does anyone get off on programming these things? I have enough frustrations in life and this thing is just an expensive thermometer for now. IUnderstand it basically, but haven't had time or energy to dive in on it... Too steep of a learning curve for someone that works too much (the whole point of owning one)

 

Im wired directly ino my router. I have a green and a yellow light, but the yellow isnt blinking as the unofficial guide says it should be.... Any idea why it wouldnt blink?

 

Im on my home network, but all i have are wireless macs (one is a stupid ipad!)

 

So, no. I can't. I type in the IP addy from the apex display and it pops up asking for un/pw...
