So long story short, my Apex is malfunctioning something fierce.  Last night I got a notification that I lost power to my EB8 which is something that has happened before (when it didn't actually lose power) and then I got messages that I lost power to my Apex.  This has been going on since about 11 PM last night.  When I checked it this morning, I can't even control my outlets manually from the Apex module or the web based server.  This is causing my pumps, skimmer, heaters and everything else to turn on/off randomly.  Please help with any ideas and feel free to shoot me your number in a PM if you think a phone call would be easier to help.
    Thanks in advance!

That sucks. These things are so nice when they are working correctly, but when there is an issue they can be a hassle.
What all have you tried? Do you see any corrosion on the cables, or the USB ports? Any blinking error lights?
I assume you tried just resetting the thing already. If it doesn't appear to be a cable or connection problem then it might be an internal issue with something that got corrupt.
Basically you can work your way resetting stuff until your back to factory defaults and reset everything up.
Try initializing the memory back to factory defaults.
    Reloading the newest firmware.
    then reset everything back up.
Hope you can get it figured out, and you don't have to send it on for repairs or something like that.

It runs fine when I reset everything back to factory defaults... now i guess I will try reloading the firmware.

That's good to hear. Hopefully it stays that way once you get everything all set up again. If not I would guess it would be time to talk to Neptune about the issue.

Could you pinpoint where it went from working to not working while you were setting it back up?

No, as soon as I re-loaded my setting it craps out again.

So just in case someone has similar issues. I called Neptune's support line and they were able to remotely correct whatever happened to my Apex. He said it was a communication error between the EB8 and the base unit. I still think it is kind of strange that it happened out of nowhere. But it works now!
