I agree - DIY food is always a good topic/event

 

What about DIY food at Central campus like we did a few years ago?

 

The odds of Central Campus allowing us to make food there is not very good. There are issues that I was made aware of earlier by Kirk that would prevent this from taking place.

 

Yea, I think doing anything at Central Campus is a stretch considering what happened in the past.

It's been a long time since the DIY Food meeting. i think most everyone who uses it has had to supplement with something else or they're down to the end. I know with my systems, I need between 12-15 packages to get me through about a year. I also give samples to other Iowa folks who are new to reefkeeping. It's a good perk to get them to look at joining GIRS and they can see how well it works feeding their fish☺

 

Maybe I am the only clueless one on this topic, but what happened in the past that has created a rift?

We had to drop our plans with Central Campus a few years ago because they had received a letter. I believe the school board put the kabosh on what we had planned with Kirk. It wasn't Kirk stopping us as he liked to see the members. Can't nor won't go in to more detail... It was an angry time for many because of the letter....
