Does anyone have an Aptasia Zapper? Seems like it would be a good thing for people to share. I have a hairy mushroom in a place where I can't get to it, and it is stinging two corals. I'm wondering if a zapper would kill it. Any opinions would be appreciated. I'd hate to spend the money and have it not be strong enough to kill mushrooms.

If you cant remove the rock Ive been having luck smothering them into their hole with superglue gel or that epoxy stuff that doesnt work to hold down corals.

The real offending mushroom is in a hole that I can't get to with my clumsy fingers. I think I could get a zapper in there, but having never seen one, I might be wrong.

hmm heres an idea. maybe use some of the reef epoxy that we use to secure frag plugs to our rocks and fill that hole with it?

What can you tell me about its effectiveness? Would it also work on anthalia?

I have one. I know the inventor, Paul Baldassono and have tested several of them for him. With the mojano and aiptasia infestation I had, Paul now considers me his spokemodel. LMAO!! It's very effective, you cannot get electrocuted, etc. The probe isn't long, about an inch and it can be broken if one isn't paying attention/careful. The manufacturer guarantees it for 6 months. The newest model is injection-molded. So, depending on how far the shroom is dug into a hole, will determine if you can kill all of it. You can definitely do some serious damage to it where you can ""zap" it. You basically have to 'melt' it. It should kill anthelia but I've never tried it. It will melt zoo's, clove polyps, disco 'shrooms...several 'soft' corals. They are expensive but to me they are worth their weight in gold. They are well built and people who use it like it. You can read reviews at mojanowand.com. It was specifically designed to kill mojanos as they are harder to kill than aiptasia. Hope this helps you decide ;-0)
