Aquarium Safe Silicone

    Does anyone know of an Aquarium safe silicone (calk gun size) that can be purchased at Menards . Lowes or Home Depot?

    Generally as long as it is not kitchen/bath you're OK, those have anti-mold agents.

    Ideally you should use Momentive RTV from Grainger. not much more expensive and the same stuff that the experts use. You still need to let it cure for a long time before it's technically reef safe. Tanks builders have told me 72 hours to fill test, 2 weeks to reef safe.

    I've used momentive as well and wouldn't recommend anything else. I would wait 30 days personally... reviews showed/proved that all the glass cages tanks that failed back in the day we're those that did not wait at least 30 days before filling and were freshlya few before they left the factory. Not worth the risk imo.
