Will these grow zoas and other corals? They're full spectrum black boxes. I had ai sols and they weren't good. These came with my set up and there are 3 of them on my 180. Anyone use them?

Reef breeder photon series are good and grow coral very well. The Reefbreeder value fixtures will grow coral but not as good. Not familiar with any other Chinese ones.

I run one on my biocube that's full of zoas and I have really good growth. Also it's about 2ft from the fixture to the bottom of the tank.

Did you get rid of your sols?

I used 2 marsaquas on ny 40 breeder and had good growth of everything but zoas idk why could have been the water. But now I'm running 6 bulb t5 and my zoas are taking off.

I run three AquaSTAR 165W LED Aquarium Light Spectrum Build-in-Timer Remote Control System over my 225. These look very similar to your photo. My SPS LPS and nems are thriving. For some reason I have lost a few zoa colonies in the past. I think that may be caused by my coral beauty and my yellow tang irritating them. I have since rid my dwarf angel and things are looking up. Could also be they are finicky to the LEDS? Other than that for the price, can't beat the growth or color. I have consider adding T5 HO blue/purlpe combo.

I have reefbreeders value fixtures on my frag tank. They are great for a frag tank but growth is nowhere near what I get with halides on display.

I won the acro growout contest on reef2reef and for the 1st half (maybe 3/4) of the contest I used reefbreeder value fixtures only. So they are good enough to beat everyone in that contest from MH, T5, combo fixtures and high end LEDs.
