Like the title says, looking for ideas on a ATO pump. I have a new jbj ato and am wanting the resivoir tank in my basement...the main tank is on the 1st floor.

I use maxi jets. Im not sure the head height on them but for how small of tubing you run i dont think itd be a problem. You can use quick connect pieces from menards and use pex tubing. Cheap easy and it works.

I had a similar set up but I put the resivior under the tank with a toms lifter and pumped up with house pressure. You are looking at 10-15 feet of lift. Which is a good bit. The other option is to stick a valve in the tank/sump and skip the ato float switch deal alltogether. But if you just got a jbj new then you are goi g to want a nice beefy pump to lift 15 feet I would say.

I know uv seen my setup but here's the pump I use to pump water from basement holding tank to main floor.

Works perfectly & fridge icemaker waterline works perfect on this pump.
I ran waterline threw the wall & out threw an old cable tv plate I had laying around so it gives it a cleaner look.

This pump is not "beefy" it's rather tiny but it is 12volt so u hav to use inverter between the jbj outlet & the pump.
Been using this setup for bout 6 yrs now.
    Cheap & easy :)

Avast marine top off kit with their peristaltic pump. I think it's about 180 for their whole setup but it works flawlessly and pumps from my basement 13 feet up and probably 25 feet across. No float switches uses pressure type switch in tank. Best I have ever used.
