Was excited to notice 3G on my iPhone in Ames today. It must have rolled out today since I KNOW I was on Edge last night while on the phone.

You think VZW will get the iPhone?
I work for USCC and we use the same CDMA technology as Verizon so if Apple produces the phone in CDMA we'll most likely get it as well.
I know VZW stated they were upping their data capacity for "something" but wouldn't elaborate...industry is assuming it's for the iPhone.
Great to hear AT&T finally rolled EVDO into Ames - I don't belive it's in Iowa City yet.

Yea I-Phone and Verizon is a done deal from the sounds of it, and what the articles have been saying, will be a year or so. Heard it might not be the full version Iphone, but time will only tell. I personally have my Blackberry, and am trying to find a way to switch to a Android based phone.

Yeah, they were admittedly slow to bring it. The connection is blazing fast though. Speedtest.net clocked me at right around 8mbit /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif
