I just want to clarify you don't have to shut your tank down. If your tank is infected with crypto (Ich) you only need to remove the fish. The tank can still operate as normal. Crypto needs fish to reproduce so by removing them for the 72 days will ensure that any that is in the tank will have gone through its multiple cycles and most likely died out.
