Really depends on how they are doing after weeks 5-6. Since I'm moving march 27th. Shrimp will be about 7 weeks old. I will have to get rid of them fast. If only a few make it, my father and brother will take them. If a good number of them live, I would like to donate them to the club to do with them as like. I think they will be to small to sell at frag swap but if a board member could take them, tank heater and air pump, before I move, that would be great.

By the time they are 9 to 10 weeks they are reproductively active. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif

No, this is just something I really wanted to try since they where having them about every 14 days for the last 2 years. This will be a one and done thing haha.

Day 33 and counted 26 settled that I could see. 10 or so still floating around. Was able to get a decent pic of one today.

    Thanks a lot.

These are now just over 5 weeks old. Only 2 that have not settled. I did come home to a settled one munching on a floater /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif I think now would be the time to start seperating them into small groups in sectioned tanks or several small tanks. With my up coming move I won't be able to do much more with them though. I find it crazy how much more food they put down after settlement. I come home to a tank wiped clean of food so have upped the feeding a bit. I have done a count and came up with 22 still alive and look great. Wish I could have documented this a little better but 9hr days at work, 2 kids 3yr and 8 months, 30-45 min everyday on shrimp. I just don't have much time. They are looking a little bigger and will get some new pics up soon.

Thanks everyone. Had a small group of them in one spot so grabbed phone and took a pic. Not the best pic. I think I counted 12 in pic. Was able to count 25 total today. That's more than the last count I did but they are getting bigger[IMG]

I really think you should try cleaners /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif I'm not sure how easy they are to raise, but it's pretty easy to get them to lay eggs!

I might give it a try sometime Lee. Kind of impressing myself now on this experiment. I was going to be happy if 10 made it and expected maybe 4. Now these are 6 weeks old today and during feeding today they swarmed the front of the tank. I got a count today of 36 [IMG]

Would anyone be interested in taking over raising these? I leave this Wednesday to Florida. They will be close to 7 weeks old by then. If I have several people interested, please let me know what you are planning to do with them, when large enough to get rid of. They will come with tank and everything to finish raising them minus a light. I will get an accurate count on them tomorrow. Thanks

5 gal tank kept at around 4 gal. 2qt water change every other day from display tank. Just about any light should work. No volunteers yet.
