I'll save the pleasantries for later...
Lost my job last night.  Broke and need lumber and plumbing for a 210g tank that is coming into town on Sunday and they are taking my 135 with them.
Anyone have some 2X6 laying around that I could use to build a stand or a stand I could have cheap?
Now I am in Hiawatha with limited gas money to make it places so I need these items close to me so this is a cry for help from those located in CR, Hiawatha, and Marion.  If you are close and don't mind meeting me on the SW side of CR with stuff I can do that as well.
I am crazy mad about really really wanting this 210 so I am trying my hardest to get things ready for it this weekend.  Please help if you can.
You can call me at (319) 361 - 8306 or leave a message here.
    Thanks,
    Thy

Sorry about your job man, been there before.

Last week I was diagnosed with psoriasis, broke my hand, and got a bad case of poison ivy.... week from hell

Keep your chin up, and I will check over at my buddy's shop when I go over there tomorrow. He usually has a ton of scrap wood laying around. If he has what you need, I'd gladly pick it up and bring it to you..

    Have a good one bud

Sounds like a plan. Just really want to get the stand bare bones done. I can worry about plumbing later plus that is a whole different mess to figure out away lol.

We should start a donation box for yah /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif haha.

210 is a pretty big tank! Was that 135 part of a trade or something? I see a new build thread in the future!

same length of 6 foot but she is 5 inches taller and wider so 2 foot wide and 29 inches tall. Trading the 135 for the 210 so the 135 leaves on Sunday and the 210 moves in hopefully! Then on the 21st everyone can come see it on the CR Tank Tour if I am not busy with something else that day.

Sweet! I'm gonna try to make my place in shueyville a stop on the tank tour, but as of now I have no clue what my schedule is. Be like a last minute thing, but hopefully it all works out!

Bad news raven /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/sad.gif the good chunks they did have went to building a deer blind... Basically a fort for adults lol.... So all that was left was some siding, and 2x12 chunks that are way to short for your application, and 6x6 posts, again too big.. I'll keep my eye out for ya tho

I saw this post on the Iowa City Freecycle just this morning.........I can reply for you if interested, let me know. They're in North Liberty.

    OFFER: Pile of 2x6 lumber
I have a pile of old , but nice, 2x6s, about 35 of them, various
lengths, most about 13 feet long. Pre-sorted---no junk / splits, no
nails. These are probably 30 years old, probably fir.

    @Mike - all good.

@phishcrazee - NICE FIND! Please reply to the posting. I don't have the fuel to get down there and get them though. Ask how long they'd hold them for me please?

Really do appreciate the help guys but I am holding off on getting the 210 til June but still looking for stuff so I am prepared for the move then.
