Ok , So I am running a Solana.   I bought a TLF reactor to run the pellets.  I am having a hard time setting this up on the back of my tank.  With all the current chambers in place and I don't have a sump, it's almost impossible for me to run this reactor without a heavy mod, or installing a sump.   I did read however that a guy on RC put his pellets in a media bag and had results.  Would this actually work  or does the point of biopellets rely on the heavy tumbling current that you get with a reactor?
I've been contemplating a T in my return to power my reactor and then running the reactor return over to my skimmer intake? This would mainly avoid putting in another pump in my tank, thus eliminating added heat/problems.
    Any ideas or thoughts?

I run bio pellets in one of these.

Sapphire Aquatics is out of business but I'll bet you could build one super easy and cheap.
I don't think running bio pellets in a mesh bag is very affective.  IMO find a way to run a reactor.
I have 2 pumps, the reactor, and my ATO switches all in the last chamber of my BC29.

So does that SA reactor just flow over the sides? Is that right? And also since you have it in your last chamber does that have any effect on your tank. Most people are saying to have your biopellet outlet next to your skimmer. I have seen this reactor before, but being that the company is no more, It's hard to find one.

Yup it just overflows from the top, pretty simple. I have read for optimum results you should have it before your skimmer as well but I am not sure i can get it to fit.

    Joe,
I can guarantee that your pellets will clump if you T things off. this is basically what I did and it didn't work. I needed a dedicated pump (MJ 1200). If you want to come by and see how I have things set up, you are more than welcome to. For me, the reactor fits perfectly into the back chamber, but I also don't have filter floss and the normal stuff that these biocubes come with. I actually had carbon running next to it too, but I had to take that offline for a bit since I had one pump supplying both reactors and that didn't cut it. Need to find a new MJ to feed the carbon sepparatly.

Bela, I'll have to stop by and see it.

Ok so since it's impossible to find a Sapphire Aquatics Nano Reactor, I have looked into building it myself. Well Acrylic tube is outrageously expensive man. But I did find a Glass 2inch tube for free. Was wondering if it's a good idea or if anybody has made a media reactor with glass instead of acrylic. since I got it for free I would like to try it out rather than spending the money on the pricey acrylic version.

Would like to hear what you guys think...

Waverz, you haven't seen a negative effect to not having it next to your skimmer have you? Just curious..
