Since I'm starting a new tank I am thinking about filtration. I had a pretty significant nitrate problem in my current tank due to overfeeding some sickly livestock. I've got that back under control with the aid of vinegar dosing and a hommade algae scrubber. If I don't have to i don't want to have to keep dosing vinegar in the new tank and the scrubber I built won't fit in my new stand/sum configuration.

So I'm wondering if folks still like the pellets. Could I start off ith them right away? I'm going to have to transfer tanks, so hopefully there won't be too much of a cycle. What do I need to know?

I have one currently running. I have had it installed, taken it down, then put it back on again. With it I have noticed the water is a lot clearer. I almost never have to scrap algea off from the glass anymore, but at the same time I added a crap load of snails and crabs so I am not sure I can say it was just the biopellets. I have had good experience with it. I have the outlet of the reactor pointed to the input of my skimmer which seems to make my skimmer more efficient. I use the BRS pellets.

I've been running them for 2 years, I like them you just have to remember to add more ever so often and start out with about one third of a dose that it says to
