JB has talked about the same issues, but more from the inside to the outside. He suspects that it could be flow related. Maybe he'll chime in with some words of wisdom. And if you have not seen his tank, he can keep just about anything alive and flourishing...amazing tank!!

thats a pretty big calcium reading. couple things i have read is while sps desire more calcium then lps or softies, too much can cause problems. also seems you have alot of LPS, is your birdsnest close to them? perhaps it is getting stung by the tenticals?

You said you have it verry high in the tank, My birdsnest seem to like it in the middle of the tank with a good random current. Also what is your phosphate level?

My phosphate is 0 I have tried to put them half way up in the tank and they seem like they bleach faster then when they are at the top, I have a pretty good current flowing on them both and they are in their only spot in the tank I don't have any other corals anywhere close to them

I have tried everything possible that I know of with them at the top of the tank the bleaching has slowed down alot, but after 2 weeks or so you will notice more on the branches that's bleaching away from the bottom up

Is it bleaching or STN? If bleaching then the flesh will still be there just void of all color if STN then the flesh will be gone.

On my hydnophora the flesh is flaking off on the birds nest I haven't seen any flake off so it's just bleaching I guess
