Blackberry access to GIRS site?

    Having a bit of technical challenge with logging into the site from my BB.  I don't have any issues with getting to and browsing the site but when I try to login I get this message:
    "link requireds java script to be enabled would you like to enable it now"
    I reply yes and it does its thing for a minute or so and then when I hit login again I get this message:
    " Javascript: an error occurred while executing a script"
    Has anyone else solved this problem?  Any insight would be appreciated...

    The only way I have found out to log in through a crackberry is to get a PM on the site. Open the email through the black berry and click on the login link on the email.

    I'll send you a pm now, open it with your blackberry.

    What OS are you running on your guys blackberry. If its OS4.x it probably will not work then, if you have OS5 it fixed a lot of the JAVA and internet problems. If you need help figuring out what OS you have, or how to upgrade let me know.

    Mine worked when I used the link from a PM as well, prior to that I could browse but not log in. Pam

    If you use a blackberrry, I'd recommend downloading and using the Opera Mini Browser. Hopefully one day soon the Blackberry OS will include a WebKit based browser (like the iPhone, Droid, Palm, etc). Until then, Opera Mini is a decent replacemnent for the horrible default browser.

    *running upstairs to fetch blackberry now*  Thanks guys!  I was always wondering this but kinda figured it was the whole internet on the phone kinda thing.

    To check what OS your running go to opitons, then about, and it should be one of the frist things up at the top. Im guessing that alot of you are running OS4.7, because only the Storm 9500,9530,9530, and the tours run the new OS.

    gered, I have a Tour and just got it Monday and it has OS 4.7. There any other advantages to the OS5 other than the browser?

    Thanks Matt...I am running v4.5.0.169.  I will have to check out the opera browser.  Thanks for the help guys!

    Ok...I have installed the Opera browser and really like it (thanks for the tip). Do you know how to set it as the default browser on the BB because when I click on a link it still defaults to the BB browser...?

    I realize this is a BlackBerry thread, but regarding Opera I can't log in to the site using the default IE browser on a Windows Mobile device.
    Using Opera Mini I have no issues.
