Not sure if this is the correct place to put this thread, if not I am sorry and please move it to the correct location.
I was looking into the idea of maybe creating a Blackberry Messenger Group for the club.  Just a few things:
1.) Is one already created?  If so what is it so I can join.
2.) Is there a actual interest in having this group?
Maybe I should explain my madness.  I've seen all the dorky commercials where people are posting about events and to come help or join in.  So I feel that maybe we could start things along those lines where we have spontaneous get togethers or someone sees and amazing deal that no one should pass up on.  Heck I'd love to get random pictures of new coral / fish.
Maybe I am just crazy and the whole becoming a reef keeper has gone to my head before I can even really get into it.  This is just a thought and if there is an interest for it I'd gladly get it in the works.
Now I am also looking into the Android OS as well just in case I decide to migrate to a different phone, but I cant make up my mind on if I want the Blackberry Playbook or not.

Definitely an interesting idea. Would be cool if it worked on all phones...

Ok so far I have found WhatsApp Messenger to be the fastest and easiest cross platform messenger. Still working with it to figure out the grouping. Kinda looks like everyone would need to be a contact on the persons device before adding to the Messenger. I already have 90 people in my phone what's another 900? lol

WhatsApp Messenger is just a digital way of sending text messages - removed. Looks like PingChat is what we're looking for. I am on it now. Username is thyraven for those that wish to join in / test things with me. PingChat is FREE and works on iPhone, Android, and blackberry. Looks more like a mobile IM but does have group chat and broadcast messaging available. http://www.pingchat.com
