Blue background?

    Does anyone have blue backgrounds on their reefs? Would u mind posting a pic? My new tank is blue and idk if ill like it... or scrape it off and go black.

    I used to, but it's off now! I switched to a clear and black colored backs, didn't like the look of the blue. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif but I think it boils down to personal preference. No pics of the blue backgrounds-sorry!

    Crud. I like the idea of depth but i dont want it to look like a petco tank. Lol

    lol. I don't know maybe it'll look better for you... I've always thought a black background with a bluer light makes for great 'depth' if you know what I mean...

    Here's a picture off a quick google search. can't tell if its a blue background vs a black with blue light... see if you like it.

    I guess it's personal choice. My 210 is blue and i wish it was black. I also have a 120 and i like the black way better. One thing i noticed is that coraline algae tends to grow better on the black backround better than blue. I would go with black if doing it again.

    Id do black. Use a flat black. Blue looks cheesey in my opinion. But good luck anyways.

    Dark blue wouldnt be bad probly. But the bright blue i dont like.

    Well looks like ill go with a black background. IF the blue will come off... lol

    My first tank had a blue background and I will say that black looks better. As long as the previous paint was latex based you should be able to scrape it off without too much trouble.

    Im not sure what was used. Definitely used a brush though.
