OK.....so after longer than I will admit, it looks like I've got my Octopus dual chamber calcium reactor working.
A luft pump is feeding it, the reaction chamber is at 6.8, and the effluvium is 7.1, the drip is about one a min.
Do you run it 24/7?  I was thinking only when the MH are on, but am not real sure.

Calcium reactors are meant to be ran 24/7. The way I have set mine up in the past is the pH of the tank would shut off the feed pump when the pH gets too low. Otherwise it runs all the time. One other thing, 1 drip per minute is rather slow. Your calcium uptake must be real slow. What is your calcium level at and does it hold steady?

its only been running a day, so tests are a bit early; I can adjust the drip rate pretty easy tho.

I've got the apex set to shut the feed pump off if the PH drops.

All CARX are diff but I would start with about a 40 CO2 drops / per 80 drops of effluent per minute.
