I have looked at images online and think this is maiden's hair. Briopsis seems to have more of a leafy look to it. I got a T5 set up and as a result this stuff really took off. It seems to be stable now, but treatments are different depending on which it is. Like I said, based on the images I googled up I think it's maiden's hair.
    Any thoughts?

doesn't look like the nasty hair algae, possibly maiden's hair

Looks like what I had in my 15g. I got an emrald crab and he made short work of getting rid of it.

I'd also be concerned about the red stuff in the middle - if it's red turf then you're in for another adventure [IMG]
I have something similar, looks like red cotton candy (doesn't taste sweet, though) that I've been battling.

The reddish bit is the same stuff, but where I think it's starting to die off. I've got my skimmer running better and went to a 24 hr schedule on my chaeto in the fuge. I think I've definitely slowed this down, now hopefully it will begin to recede.
