Well I soaked my hand in vinegar seemed to dissolve them then a good 3m tape to pull the rest out still burns but a big lesson learned tonight I'll never move a rock again without gloves........lol

Coralife makes an awesome pair of gloves! I use them around my clowns and whenever I move my rock. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001EUCERC?pc_redir=1411190548&robot_redir=1

A few months ago I moved a small rock the size of a baseball and had it 'palmed' in my hand but only contacting my fingertips.

On the 'palm' side of the rock were two 5" bristleworms just waiting to ruin my day.

I may or may not have squealed like a girl upon seeing them.

I had this happen a few months ago when setting up my 90 gallon wavefront. My finger and thumb were covered in bristles. I let the finger dry then rolled my bristly digits across duct tape. (got the idea off of youtube) 95 % of them came out. I used precision tweasers to pull the rest out. I imaging this works best right after you get exposed to them.

In order to kill most of the unwanted critters I dropped the tank temp down to 60% for a week. I didn't have any fish or coral in there. It killed the gigantic worms and not the coralline algae. I had my revenge on that worm. I should have taken photos of the size of some of the worms in the rock.

I got stuck by a bristle worm on my fingertip yesterday for the first time. It's amazing how many bristles you can pick up in just one touch! I should have taken a picture. I let my finger air dry and then I lit a birthday candle and dripped melted wax over my finger tip and the bristles. Warning--the wax is HOT. I blew on each drop so I didn't get burned. After I had a good layer of wax over all the bristles, I carefully peeled it off. I still had a few bristles left, so I got out another candle and re-coated my finger with wax. Round two got all the remaining bristles and none broke off in my skin!
