anyone ever have a bubble blaster pump go bad? Came home today and my Reef Octopus skimmer wasn't creating anything. The pump was making an audible thumping sound. Took it apart and cleaned it and it still makes that sound. Damn!

How did the impeller look. It wasn't split at anything

No cracks in the impeller but when I turn the pump on the impeller acts like it is either off balance or getting stuck.

Could be missing one of those little rubber boots on the end of the impeller, or the shaft might not be pushed into it. That would cause the impeller to wobble and be very noisy.

Yeah I thought of that too. Took it apart again and checked all that but no joy. I went ahead and submitted a support ticket with Coralvue. Supposed to be a 2yr warranty I believe. Fingers crossed.

I had one go bad a few yrs ago.... and coralvue stood right up and made everything right! I can't remember what exactly happened with mine but they shipped out a whole new pump for mine not just parts. Running a different skimmer now than that one....but it's still a sroxp2000... love those skimmers and have never had a problem with coralvue!

That's good to know, thanks for the input @tangers@tangers! Hopefully they reply tomorrow.

I figured out how to post a video. Here is the link if anyone is interested to see (hear) what it's doing.

Update: Coralvue responded this morning right away. I talked with Carlos and he wanted to know if the pinwheel was loose or would come off. You can see from the video i posted that the oinwheel was already off. Apparently it is not supposed to come off. They are sending me a new impeller which has already been shipped.

Anyone know where they are located? Just curious how long it will take to get here via usps.
