I've noticed what look like white aphids swiming around my tank when the lights are out.  I haven't seen a lot of em but that doesn't mean there aren't a whole bunch.  I don't have any pics to make identifying them easier.  Anyone got any ideas as to what they are?  They appear to be too big to be some sort of pod, the only thing I can really compare them to is an aphid.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Amphipods range in size from 5-10mm.

amphipods mainly crawl around your substrate and rocks and copepods are very small and swim around in a mass. a good way to see copepods is to shine a flashlight when your lights go out into any shells or caves that you might have in your tank

I'm pretty sure they're amphipods after doing a little more research. I didn't realize they got as big as they did so I assumed they were some sort of parasite. Thanks much for the input!
