LOL yeah little bit of an old picture, the frame is up, stand is there now, put the sump, reactor, protein skimmer and return pumps there just to pretend its closer to a reef setup.  The tank will get set on tomorrow and I can start running plumbing.  Don't have a lot of time, building a room for my daughter that I am expecting any day now so i have to spread my time out and posting lots of pictures has made the list yet for some reason /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif  I'll make up for it eventually I promise.

I know how that goes last 8 weeks I have only been home around 2 days a week been traveling for work every week for two months.  I am home now for a little bit so trying to get as much done as I can.  So trying to get a tank running, building a room for the new girl, spending time with my 2 year old, and the wife thinks she needs attention sometimes too, haven't had much time surprised I am as far a long as I am really.

I'll add a picture tonight with the tank up there, I start building my LED lights next week its going to be a really cool setup and highly changable for many looks I can't wait to do it, setup, and see them. Most challenging LED build I have done but will be running 10 drivers off of a single apex its going to be sweet /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

My first fish in my 220g.  It's a Toddler tang.  Usually peaceful but have been known to have crazy sometime violent mood swings.  Usually a social fish, but sometimes is very territorial.  Just be careful too many can lead to issues and the bio load can be pretty nasty at times.  Feeding a variety of foods is a good practice however some foods may come flying back at you at high velocity.  Some foods may have drastic, and usually undesired, effects on the bio load.

I pretty much used the same idea as another GIRS member, Elliot, for the stand, I'll post more pictures this weekend, I might actually have time.  It is made out of 2x8s, 4x4s, and 2x4s.  Its behind a wall in a storage area so looks was not high on the list.  It is probably a little over engineered but that is better than not engineered enough.  Its basically a 2x4 rectangle at the bottom then 2x8 legs in an L shape in each corner with a 2x8 rectangle on the top that the tank rests on and rests on the legs.  There is a 4x4 on each leg but mostly there for screws to go into, it is not support any weight i stopped them about an inch form the tank and an inch from the floor.  If you're in the cedar rapids area your more then welcome to stop by and check it out since you are doing something similar.  Here is a link to a thread that has some pictures of elliots for now.
