Hey everyone.  When I purchased my new tank setup, the guy that I bought it from said that one of the things he would have done different was to get threaded bulkheads instead of barbed to have a higher degree of confidence that everything was secured well and would not slip off over time.  I started looking for bulkheads here in the CR area and both the Menards on the SW side and Theisens didn't have what I needed.  Where does everyone else go to buy your bulkheads?  Do I have to order them online?  I'm getting pretty close to being able to set the tank up and start cycling the water.  I'm waiting on heaters which should show up tomorrow.

I would use threaded as well even if it costs more. You can always reconfigure your plumbing with threaded and I have done that a time or 3. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I have always bought most of my pluming supplies online at Savko or US Plastic Corp. They both have really good prices and had what I wanted.

I also use threaded because it can be taken apart if needed in the future.
I order from Glass Holes because they have great customer service and free shipping over $15. I also like Savko and US Plastics I have ordered tons from USP.

Great info...thanks everyone for your feedback. I'll look into the listed buying options for threaded bulkheads.

Hey just to let you know that pets playhouse has bulkhead. Not sure if they are threaded or slip, but you might want to give them a call and see what kind of prices, or if they still have them. That is where I got mine from. And yes, I know they cost more.
