BUY/SELL/TRADE GUIDELINES (revised 3/20/2014)

Just a friendly reminder to all to review the Buy/Sell/Trade guidelines in the first post of this thread. In particular, the following sections:

Acceptance of Guidelines[/b]


Use of the GIRS Buy/Sell/Trade (B/S/T) forums, both the Public and the Members Only forums, is indicative of your acceptance of these guidelines. These guidelines are maintained by the GIRS Board of Directors (BoD) and may be amended as required.


Participation At Own Risk[/b]


While most members have found the B/S/T forums an incredible resource for finding great deals, it must be stressed that participation on the B/S/T forums is at your own risk. GIRS, the BoD, and anyone not actively participating as either a buyer or a seller in a particular transaction cannot be held responsible for any problems that may arise during or resulting from said transaction. While the BoD would like to know about cases where major misrepresentation or fraud has occurred, we will not be able to provide any assistance or recourse in resolving the issue. Integrity and Respect[/b]


All buying, selling, and trading activity should be done with integrity and mutual respect. This is, by far, the most important guideline of all.


Feedback[/b]


The B/S/T forum is not the place for discussion, feedback, negative comment, or your opinion about a particular seller or item that is up for sale or trade. If you have no intention of trading something for or buying a particular item, but you wish to voice a concern, you might send the seller a Private Message (PM), but you should otherwise refrain from posting in their thread.


The Buyer/Seller Feedback & Vendor Experiences forums are the proper location for GIRS Members to provide feedback about a transaction. Members are encouraged to use these forums to post details of a particular transaction, both good and bad. Threads and posts in these forums should reflect an accurate description of the transaction from both parties involved. These forums are NOT a place for name calling, back and forth banter, or opinions from those not involved with the transaction.

As always, if you see a problem with a post or feel that you or anyone else has been treated inappropriately, you can always click the "Alert" button and report the post, or you can send an e-mail to board@greateriowareefsociety.org, both of which are received by everyone on the Board. This applies to the entire forum, not just the BST forums.
