The tank will be a 84 inch 220. I've had mine in a 180 for 2 years. The other has been in the 220 for 5 years. Would they get along in the bigger tank? Anyone have 2 flames?

Heck yes. You really need to add them both at the same time, or better yet QT them together for awhile.

I shared a video of mine spawning on our FB page.

I'm surprised by this. Is this a case of if you get lucky and happen to have a male and female? If they are the same gender will you then have problems? If you are good to regardless what would be the minimum size tank you would want to do this in?

On a branching topic, I seem to recall that Flame Angels tend to attack other orange-colored fish, like clowns. Truth or fiction? If true, that would explain a few things I've seen at the dentist's tank in Grimes (clowns got beat to hell and either died or had to be removed)

For my 9ish years of reef keeping I have pretty much always had a flame angel and ocellaris clowns and never had issues. It's hard to think of my flame being aggressive as he's pretty low on the pecking order. My emperor angel and powder blue tang are quite dominant.

I have one i my 180 right now and never had an issue with 3 clowns or the wrasse of same color. I also have 400lbs of corals and live rock for it to hide. It seems like a very shy fish. The tank I'm buying a 240 or so 84 inches long has one also. That's why I ask. I've never had any issues with dwarf angels. Thanks Craig.
