I have a 58 gal with the cherry trim that I think is an Oceanic but I can't find it on their website.  I need to know if the glass is tempered or not so I can drill it.

I had a local shop do mine. I didn't know if it was tempered and they didn't either. Guess what, they made a mess and I was out a tank. Bummer, however I have too many as it is now. BUt then again, can someone have too many? If it is an Oceanic, I would just give them a call in the morning to see if they could give you any insights. When in doubt, you can always try. Its only glass. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/hybrid//emoticons/smile.gif

Great thread - once I get the tank emptied I'll be able to try this!

Thanks for the idea.  I sent Oceanic an email asking about the tank and they say it is tempered glass. [IMG]  Oh well guess I'll just have to do it the old fashioned way and have a hang on overflow.
