Cedar Rapids Tank Tour

    A tank tour is on the April calendar for the CR/IC region. However, Andy and I have had some scheduling issues with April. So....if you are interested in hosting a stop, please post here. Also...indicate if you'd prefer the 21st or the 28th.






    A tank tour is scheduled for Saturday, April 21 for the CR/IC region. The tour will take place primarily in Cedar Rapids, and surrounding area. We will make the first stop at 10:00 and get done roughly by 2:00. A schedule will be published as soon as possible.






    Following are the names that have indicated they would like to be a stop. This is not the order, just the names.

    I already talked with Bob and volunteered to be a stop. I don't have a preference on the date both will work for me.
    A quick note my house isn't that big, and my tank is only 29g biocube, so it will be hard for everyone to see at the same time. So if there is plenty of volunteers I will be willing to back out.

    I'm also in for being a stop on the tank tour.Either date works for me. Lets get some more tanks to see guys!!!

    I just modified the intro post to provide details of the tour on Saturday, April 21. It's shaping up to be a great day.

    Who all plans to come??

    Hey bob, the van that I usually borrow is being loaned out that weekend already, I trust you will be able to take a van full? I've got most of the addresses on the list so far, and I will start calculating a route and post a map. See you guys soon!!

    This is the best event of the year. I can't miss this. I'm sure troy will be riding with me and maybe rod. Have room for one more but you'll have to sit behind the ogre so you would have to like cramped spaces

    Yes..I will have the Astro...or as my daughter calls it, the "toaster"...or as my wife calls it the "***-van".

    I think I'm not going to plan on being able to host. Am scheduled for a cortisone injection in my knee the day before and I don't want to have to commit to being mobile. Sorry!! We can have another chili party for the fall tour.

    I know there are a number of tanks in North Liberty. Any of those guys able to be stops on the tour?

    We would include the North Liberty tanks next fall ...for the spring tour, we're trying to stay in the CR/Marion/Hiawatha/Robins area

    I definitely want to join in on the tank tour the 21st. Any of you North Liberty guys who are coming as well, would want to pick a shueyville guy up at the BP gas station right off the interstate for a car pool sesh?

    Honestly if we can't get any more then 3 volunteers then maybe we should just skip this tour all together.

    I agree that 3 isn't enough. I just sent a global email to the region...hopefully we will get up to 5 or 6.
