i am going to do the same. i am gunna right the light for 5-6 hours a day instead of my regular 8 1/2. I will run them later in the day. I intend to slowly change the light intervals on my timers by a half hour at a time. i doubt corals will be too effected, especially if you make the transition slow.

Yea I have been doing this too. I have left it off on some of the days, and then kept it on for 4 hours or 5 hours. I also moved mine back alittle since I have been working till later so I can come home and still see my tank for awhile.
