Cheap acrylic

    Has anyone come across any acrylic suppliers that seem to have decent pricing? Who has stood out to be superior in your eyes?

    Sabic Polymershapes in CR is where I get everything. Handy for you because you can just pop up there and get it but they also will deliver. I have to lump my orders on top of a sign company in town.

    Laird Plastics in KC has good pricing too.

    The only one I would use for tanks/sumps is Plexiglas-G (Arkema brand name Plexiglas) or their generic version referred to at PMACS. Nothing else. Not even Acrylite which has had recent issues, Synergy Reef got a bad batch not too long ago that was not weldable.

    For baffles and small stuff, just about any extruded will generally be ok

    Sabic in CR is great, but I think They typically sell full sheets. sometimes they can find a drop if you need something smaller. But not always.

    Regal in Waterloo has or at least had good pricing on their cutoffs and drops. They used to sell their drops by the pound and occasionally had some pretty good sized pieces. But it is really hit and miss.

    Midland in Davenport also has smaller pieces if you just need a small piece or are working on a small project.
