What lighting is everyone using to grow cheto? Ive had a 23w florescent 6500k par 38 bulb on the stuff for 4 weeks and no noticeable growth. I've had some spouts of algea on rocks in the dt under the halide (5 hr per day) so I know there's phosphates..

I use the Natural Daylight, Recessed & Outdoor Security, FEIT Electric Performance LED Dimmable PAR 38 bulb and light my fuge 27/7 :0) I believe I bought it at Menards. I had trouble growing chaeto for several years until I bought this bulb...

Mix the light up a bit. Ise a 4500 5000 or 5700 bulb witha blue bulb something like 6600 or so.

Fulspectrum will always give you the bwst growth. In my frag fuge I run a fluval marine full spectrum led system. The chaeto is in balls about 6 to 8 inches across ajd weighs 5lbs or more. Very very dense
