Ok, well my wife's friend manages an apartment complex here in CR, well someone left behind a small reef tank and some inhabitants in it.  I was called over to check it out and see if anything was worth saving.  Well with me it's all worth trying to save just can't let these creatures go by someone who was careless.  However not about to put unknown fish and corals in my big main tank.  So I started up my Biocube 29 again and got it going for them.  I found...
    1 yellow tail damsel
    1 royal gramma
    1 chocolate chip starfish
    some zoanthids
I think either a hammer coral or duncan, not sure because it is in very rough shape and shrunk down in the skelly, trying to get it back to health but I think its a hammer.
    Few snails
Couple of very very unhealthy SPS corals not sure I'll be able to bring them back in time.  The tank did not have even close enough light for SPS.
My question is anyone have any real experince with a chocolate chip star fish in a reef tank?  I have read what blue zoo and liveaquaria say about them and it doesn't look like a good idea but like fish one can be a model citizen and another can be jack the ripper i know starfish can be the same way.  Anyone had any luck with them?  My son just loves that starfish and if everything looks good and healthy(in a month or so) I would be willing to move to my good tank long as he won't go all hannibal lecter on my Lps corals or clams.  Not sure if I'll keep the damsel or gramma yet might just give them away to a good home once I am sure they are healthy.  Might turn the bicocube into a frag tank now that it is back up and running too.  Anyway and first hand experience would be good because if its not good I'll have to find a new home for the chocolate chip star fish as well.
    Thanks.
