Great decision postponing the party. It is not worth getting people out in this. It is very dangerous up around Ames/Boone right now. No way would I have been stupid enough to try and make it. In town and down south may be OK, but up here in the country it is far from safe.
I just drove from town (Boone) home and it took an hour and was darn scary. Could not see anything most of the way. It usually takes me 15 minutes to get home. Hopefully Iowa City to Des Moines is good all night and Bill will be fine but it is not good at all up north.
Please Stay home tonight folks if you can. This came up quick. It was very slick when we drove to town but visibility was fine. I had to completely stop on the highway many times as I could not see the ditch or the road at all, 0! It was pretty scary being stopped on the highway but I had no choice.
    Stay home and be safe!
Did I mention its dangerous out there??? /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sick.gif

Glad to hear that Bill is safe in Des Moines. I was just out walking the dog, and this is the sort of storm we rarely see. Really nasty. Oh, and the dog refused to do his business, so.......

It is great to hear that you are safe Joel[IMG]  I'm sure your drive home wasn't the best with it taking you an hour[IMG]  I hope Bill stays safe if he tries to go back home.  One just never knows what the weather will do here[IMG]  Joe is keeping my livestock until I can get there and pick them up[IMG]  Hopefully that will be tomorrow afternoon.  At least they are safe and sound...and warm[IMG]  Thanks Joe!!

Alright everyone, we have decided to have the party on January 8th. So clear your calenders!! It will be at the same place and same time. Hopefully that will give everyone time for their corals to grow so they can bring more frags! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/wink.gif

I may possibly be able to attend but don't count me for food and stuff cause I will probably be late. I'll bring a Fox Frag if I come.

How do you want us to handle bringing the frag(s)?  Bag or non-see through container?  Do you want the coral identified?  I've noticed some are indicating what they are bringing...do you want to know?  Do you know if we have enough corals so everyone can take one home?  I can bring more if needed.  Are people looking for specific ones?  Sorry about all the questions[IMG]

The more corals brought the better as it would be better to have too many that not enough. If you can just bag the coral like you normally would and put it in a brown paper sack or something you can not see through. Then mark it Zoa/Paly, LPS, SPS. We will also try and separate them at the time they arrive.

Just bring what you can or are willing to bring. Also there is no need to bring anything really nice if you do not feel comfortable bringing something like that. It is just supposed to be fun!
