I came home this afternoon and my clam was laying on its side . I placed it back upright and it opened up but it's foot was released from its base it was attached to. Should I have concerns?

I think your fine if it opened back up and looks good. May not like the spot you had it in. But I'm no expert on clams.

It's foot should be in the shell, are you saying that is has detached from the shell?

It was attached to a flat base from the time I have had him. There were tissue that was holding him in place from the clam. I currently placed him up right in the sand bed and appears to be just fine
