I've had a green clown goby in my 20g frag tank for several years. He enjoys sitting in my leather corals. I've never seen him in the SPS corals.

Earlier this year (3-6 months ago), I got a yellow clown goby for my 30g cube tank. He sits all the time in my SPS and I've noticed tissue recession and polyps don't extend. I never thought I would be able to catch him. Today, I needed to removed the rock that has the SPS coral on that he normally spends time in. When I got the rock to my work bench, I noticed that the goby decided to tag along.

So, I'm in the process of acclimating him to my 20g tank. Will the two clown gobies fight each other in that small of tank? Anyone have multiple gobies together in the same tank? If so, what size of tank. He is just so cute, I hate to give him away. I wonder if he will settle into some of the leathers. ??????

Really hard question, I know they can be territorial, so it may be some trial and error.

Your SPS will be much happier without the Yellow Gobies, they are notorious SPS killers.

Thanks for the replies. I finished acclimating about 15-20 minutes ago and released the yellow clown goby into the frag tank. It immediately went to a frag of my tri-colored valida - the same piece of SPS that it liked in the cube tank - the mother colony of my tri-colored valida. We'll see how it goes there!
