My "Evil" maroon clown must have laid eggs last night.  No wonder she was so agressive and biting me.  I noticed her belly was huge and swollen and she was doing the "shimmy shake" verticle dance for hours.  She later looked normal with no huge belly.  I think I know where the eggs are, but can't see back in there.
Quesion:  Will the male guard the eggs?  Will she?  I know they won't make it as lots of other animals will enjoy the tasty treats, but thought it was really cool.  Some times I think it would be neat to have another tank to raise them, but doing the whole rotifer thing would be too much for me.

    Hey that is cool,

Maroons are prolific spawners & lay some of the biggest nests.

Yes the male will tend the nest, but the female will keep an eye on him.

It will help your tank alot, the larvae is great food for your other fish & coral.

They will probably lay about every 11-14 days from now on.

That explains all the sand dusting and guarding of the home base anemones. Just did a water change so the tank is pretty mad, but later I'm planning on looking for the eggs (just looking through the glass).

That's how mine falses started out. She moved a bunch of sand. Then they cleaned the spot on the rock they wanted really well. Next came eggs.
