So I have been thinking of a way to say this... and this is short and sweet just straight to the point...

If you get nominated for a board position or a trustee position please make sure you actually have time to do the said job before you except.

I also think if your going to hold a board position you should be an active member on the site not just a person in the background that may have done one thing once upon a time....

Please consider these these things and really think about it before you accept a position because with the lack there of now it seems our site traffic has gone down... the activity has gone down... we have members from other areas coming to the Des Moines area meetings because we actually have them. Im glad they do come and I hope the ones that have came enjoyed the meetings.

So when you members vote or nominate others for a position lets make sure were actually picking a person thats gonna be active not just sit back with a title. So lets get to nominating and remember to vote cause literally every vote counts with this election :)

Vote for and nominate the person you think will do the most.

Its in the club business forum and you have to be a paid member to vote or nominate

    Well said.
From the BOD perspective having the input and feedback of the entire BOD is critical to keep things moving and get different ideas. If all the BOD members don't show up and take part in the discussions its hard to keep things moving through the processes.
It's not a lot of time really, but it is a commitment that needs to be followed through with. If you don't think you can make the commitment just say no thanks, but volunteer in other ways when times work for you.

Its not really directed at anyone in particular its more targeted as a whole... period if your to busy for something you voluneered to do then give up the job to someone that can do it or just dont take it at all.

Meetings should happen in each area as scheduled if it doesn't happen what other perks are there to be a member what just get into the fests for free?....

I personally want to bring in new members and maybe some that were members that decided to leave because of the lack of activities in their areas because the trustee ect was just to busy to do the volunteer job.... or board member didnt take charge that lived in the area....

Just plain and simple if your going to except a trustee position or other board position make sure you have the time to do so otherwise do the paid members a favor and not except or volunteer for it.

Its for the best of the club imo
