So I've been intrigued with the turf scrubbers for some time now (as something new to try out...no plans to get rid of my skimmer any time soon).  While building this frag tank (40 breeder) I'm working on, I was thinking about doing a combo frag tank/turf scrubber.  This question is mainly to Bud as our resident Algae Scrubber expert, what do you think of this design?  I know it's only making use of one side of the algae screen, but do you see any other inherent problems with it?  Opinions?

And as quickly as the idea was spawned, I believe I have decided not to do it. This would prevent me from using an MP40 on this tank and as the left wall as pictured above would be directly against another tank, that would only leave front and back placement for the powerhead and I don't think that would be effective. Oh well...

I have been considering doing an algae scrubber on my tank. I have the room underneath, and really like the concept. I just want to do the research and make sure to do it right if I decide to make the change.

I don't think that you have to consider it a change.  I was thinking of it more as an addition...but again...scratching it off the list for now...  Bud (Floyd R Turbo) is the guy to talk to if you're interested in scrubbers.  He's done all the research and understands them really well.
