Well i am finally done with a VERY stressfull four months and decided to add some fish. I ordered a Copper Banded Buterfly. I was also wanting to order a Lavender Tang and a couple Firefish. What I have in my tank now is 2 clowns 1 yellow tang, 1 sailfin Tang and a dragonett. Do you think I will have problems with what I plan to add? The tank is a 100 gallon with 180 lbs of live rock. Any thoughts would be welcomed. Thank You ,Shaun

Can fish even swim with 180lbs of live rock in a 100 gallon tank? I think your tank becomes much smaller when you have so much rock in it. You wouldn't be doing your current stock a favor by adding more fish to it. You will also want to watch your nitrates.

Not as full as you may think. They have plenty of swim room and my nitrates always test at less than 5.

He said watch your nitrate bcuz they may be fine now but when you put a larger, and your list is a MUCH larger, bioload on the tank, it may have a harder time keeping up with the nitrification process. 100g is the "minimum" tank size for each of those fish and what Sone means is after you add that much rock your left with maybe 75g of water. If it was my tank I wouldnt cram that many large fish in there. They will be unhappy and once they grow will pick on each other and fight for space and Ive even heard of "reef safe" fish picking at corals bcuz they are in too small of space.

Maybe add one of the fish listed but I wouldnt add more than that.

I will also not be getting to lavender tang, and holding off on the firefish. I have already ordered the buterfly but will not get any more. Thank you all. slovan, sorry if I sounded defensive. Shaun

No problem Shaun...You said any thoughts was welcomed so there you go! [IMG]  I might have sounded short or harsh in my response since I just popped in quickly over lunch before getting back to work.  I hope your new CBB does well in your tank.  You'll have to snap some pics of your tank with the new addition.
