Concert in Rock Island!

    While most of the excitement this past weekend was focused on the frag fest I did have the chance to attend another very cool event in Rock Island IL.
    Matt M (aka...Matt the fiddler) was very instrumental in putting together this Mark Wood's Electrify your Strings concert. Matt is the director of the orchestras at Rock Island Middle and High Schools.
    Mark Wood's best known for his gig with the Trans Siberian Orchestra and is now building his own line of electrical stringed instruments.
    The kids put on a great show! Pretty cool to listen to an orchestra playing every thing from Led Zeppelin, Metalica to the Beatles!

    Mey Matt,
    That's really cool stuff. I know you've been working on that for a *long* time. Way to go! I hope that the kids, parents and others realize how much hard work you put into making that event happen.
