Very interactive group meetings, discounts at local fish stores, and many online stores. Very close knit group of people to help out in emergency situations, help move tanks and give advice from many backgrounds and many years in the hobby. One stop to ACC "saved" me my membership fee. It has payed itself back many times over already for me.

I never said you had to pay to receive any help at all. It is all apart of the package, being a memebr on the site can gain you the same amount of friends. I was reffering to the friendships made face to face in the meetings, they are a lot more "real" then names on a computer screen. Its those friendships that you can rely on when your having problems with your tank or when your ready to take your tank to the next level. You don't pay for help. You pay for the experience of being a group. If you asked for help member or not I would help, its not about that. $20 might not benefit you directly, but with the $20 it benefits everyone by allowing this site to be online. which is yours to use for free. It also allows the club to purchase items to rent which might not be feasible for one person to buy. But very useful items. $20 allows the club to host events for anyone to coe and see some very amazing guest speakers and demonstrations. Helps bring in vendors so you can stock your tank with items not always found locally and without paying shipping costs.
$20 a year isn't a lot to ask, and its not gong to appeal to everyone. The club is non profit, so your money is invested, not spen.t

You're paying to help keep this club going that you get help from. Its not free and neither are the 2 frag swaps we put together every year. Did I mention the regional meetings cost money also? how many of those have you gone too?

I don't think that was the intention of the message. It was to actually atttend one to see what $20 does. Ill cut it short there
