    lookin bout ordering the aqua controller jr. the question is what software do i use? This is going on my bio cube, so I am not using anything fancy and just need the basic for light cycle. Next what cables do I need? Do I just need the serial cable or do I also need the isolator? Thank you.

    No serial needed just the acjr with the dc8.  I may be able to get you a used acjr with a ph for a good price, but you would need to find a dc8 for it.

    Are you wanting to hook it up to your computer? Otherwise you really aren't going to need any software, unless I am misunderstanding the question.

    If you want to hook it to you computer you will need a serial cable. I had to end up buying an adaptor because I did not have the right input so it went serial cable to a usb adaptor and that worked quite nicely. Personally I would hook it into your computer to set it up because it kind of sucks scrolling through everything on that little screen. For a program all you need is the free version that neptune puts out. Can not remember the name off the top of my head.

    Thank you everyone for your responses. I was wanting to hook it up to the computer to program it but didnt want to keep it hooked since my house only runs off a laptop. Thanks Gered and when I buy or find one I will be expecting you, cause you did such a good job with Troy's.

    The software that Neptune puts out is AquaNotes. You download it from their web site. If you register it, you have the full version, otherwise, it's the Lite version (but the same software installer).

    Hey Nick, how soon are you wanting one? I have a Ac Jr. & DC8 with serial cable/ isolator/ & full copy of aquanotes I might sell.
