I'd like to get this refugium up and running correctly.  I see that there are many websites out there that sell copepods and I'd like to either buy some or do I really need to?  Also should I buy algae to feed them as well?  Thanks for any help!

You don't need to buy them. If you have liverock they will find there way to your fuge and before you know it your fuge will be teaming with them. No need to feed them they will get want they need from the water column.

    Yep

As long as you didnt start out with dry rock, you should have some.

Best way to get some is to get a cup of sand from different peoples tanks.

Also, "Clown" took over jjtreumpers greenwater/copepod/brine shrimp business so you can also boy some from him.
